We built a forest out of words,
planted seeds, fast growing
in the soil of our heart

of the timber we built a home
walls of love
floors of trust
roof out of steady faithfulness

all around the walls we wrote
our names – I wrote yours
you wrote mine
into a circle of names, me and you
all around our private ground
letting us never forget – each other
