in my youth I saw behind your eyes
a land of greater freedom

in the soil of our dreams
we built a future – a home –

where every wall tells a story
written through days and weeks

and years and a lifetime
spent together – face to face

believing in the strength of a love
with all these strings connected

between my heart and yours,
and the eyes… your eyes revealed it all!
